The Distillers [Discografia]

The Distillers foi uma banda de Punk Rock/Rock alternativo, formada no ano de 1998, banda que anunciou o fim de carreira em 2006.

A formação primária da banda foi:
• Bree Joanna Alice Robinson (Brody Dalle) [Guitarra e Vocal]
• Rosalyn Mazzola [Guitarra e Backing vocal]
• Kim Chi [Baixo e Backing vocal]
• Mat Young [Bateria e percussão]

Esta banda foi e continua sendo uma das bandas representantes do cenário Punk, principalmente quando falamos em punk rock com vocal feminino. Acho importante ressaltar esse detalhe do vocal feminino e da inserção da mulher no movimento punk porque dentro da cena punk rola muita discriminação, sim muito machismo, algo que é extremamente inadmissível em qualquer movimento que se diz libertário.

A banda estava trabalhando em um novo disco para ser lançado em 2005, mas foi adiado sem prazo determinado.

Com a gravidez de Dalle, e o nascimento de sua filha no início de 2006, ela decidiu encerrar a banda.
Sem perder muito tempo, em 2007, Dalle já estava em outra banda, a “Spinnerette”.

Até o atual momento a Distillers lançou: 3 álbuns de estúdio, 1 EP, e 5 Singles.

O Álbum “Coral Fang” teve um total de 3 capas, sendo que uma ou se não me engano duas delas foram censuradas. Postarei duas capas, a outra não achei com qualidade boa. =/

Com pouco tempo de carreira, a banda marcou o cenário Punk, e não acabou por aí, teve algumas de suas músicas colocadas em alguns games, segue a lista aí:

• “Beat Your Heart Out” no Tony Hawk's Underground 2.
• “Dismantle Me” no MTX Mototrax.
• “Seneca Falls” no Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4.
• “Drain the Blood” no Gran Turismo 4.
• “City of Angels” no Crash 'N' Burn.
• “Beat Your Heart Out” no tema de Spiderman.
